Our Team

At Seaford Lifeguards we run two main "teams". A lifeguard side and a lifeguard support side. We also have medics and associate members.

Lifeguards
Our Lifeguards are all highly trained to SLSGB Beach Lifeguards standard. This includes; Water rescue skills, CPR, Spinal management, theory of the sea and conditions and fitness. Their main duty on the beach is too prevent any accident from occuring and too assist in any incident that may happen. But they are also there to hand out local infomation to members of the public, and to enforce the local sea and beach bylaws.

Lifeguard Support
Our lifeguard support team is also highly trained, but to the SLSGB Lifeguard Support standard. This involves everything a lifeguard does except the attual water rescue side. They support the lifeguards along the beach in any first aid or rescue incident by giving vital assistance when needed.

Medics

These are part of the Seaford Community Responder scheme, they respond from our headquaters and from the beach to any incidents we have on the beach, but also to any 999 calls within the Seaford area.

Associate Members

You can join as an associate member to show your support to Seaford Lifeguards, but also if you have skills that could be helpful to us but don't fit into the Lifeguard or Support role; for example helping run our Bric a Brac sale at our boathouse, running our control room etc.
